Basic Enamels on Glass With Rob Fleischner

Glass Enamel Basics with Rob Fleischner, a 1 Day Workshop, $100

In this workshop we will show and/or discuss many uses of powdered glass enamels for painting, drawing, silk screening, and air brushing on glass. The workshop fee includes access to our classroom use enamels and tools (we'll be sharing) and some small sheet glass to use.  For home use, you'll need to buy powdered or pre-mixed enamels and mediums to mix them in if you like the process of images on glass.  We’ll also discuss the firing (and schedules we use) of enamels applied to the glass. Specifically, you will learn how to mix up the powdered enamels, apply them with pen and ink tools, silk screen, and brush (though you'll have to develop your own techniques once you get involved with painting on glass), air brushing, and maybe some new surprises based on Rob's experimentation.  We'll also discuss the various mediums available as well as mixing colors to get other colors using the starting colors of enamels available to us.
