Kiln Working in 3D with Tony Serviente

A five day workshop, $850
December 1 - 5, 2025, 9am - 4pm

Most fused glass is confined to length and width, but you can add height! In this intensive workshop we explore alternate methods that get the work up off the kiln shelf to make visually interesting three-dimensional objects.

3D Kiln glass art example works

For those who have a kiln forming background, you will learn of new areas to explore and if you have no experience whatsoever you'll make something fun and interesting.

Topics will include:

  • Making your own firing schedules
  • Kiln types and properties
  • Shelf selection
  • And many other digressions.

Beautiful glass will be the motivator in this fast paced intensive.

  • Simple lunches (pizza, sandwiches, and/or salads) will be provided each day with water always available.
  • Most materials will be included (if you want a specific glass not provided, you can buy it for use in your project assuming it is available).
  • Please bring your favorite glass tools: glass cutter, running pliers, mosaic nippers, flat jaw pliers, tweezers, Sharpie, safety glasses, etc.
