Description: Students will learn how to create beautiful pot melt designs using all those scraps that are taking up space in your studio. “Pot Melt” is the technique of melting several colors of compatible glass through holes of a ceramic pot. The results are beautiful, random flowing designs. These designs may be used as embellishments in other projects or cold-worked and slumped into a dish/platter or panel. No two melts are the same.
Materials: Students are responsible to provide their glass and tools. Supplies are available for purchase from the store. Pot Melt Pots will be provided for use by the instructor. Syllabus will be provided via email to students prior to start of class. 96 COE or 90 COE glass may be used.
