More of a gray brown in it's natural state and a rich medium amber when backlit. Not sure where the "skin tone" name comes from, but who cares, it is still a really nice color.

HINT: Youghiogheny Glass is very well annealed and if your score is too "hot" it does not break well. Have a light touch when scoring and this glass cuts like butter.
