Discover the magic of glass powder in this multi-project class created for enjoyment at any experience level. Students will learn how to manipulate fine glass powder and frit to create TWO distinct, stunning tree panels. We will explore how to transition between contrasting perspectives—from capturing a stand alone tree to looking directly up into a towering canopy.
The autumn tree (8in x 8in) is created using a stencil and strategically placed frit while the canopy perspective (4in x 6in) utilizes glass powder, frit and various tools available for use during the class. Both include demonstrations with the opportunity to build your skills. We will be using COE 96 but it's all transferable to working with COE 90 if that's your glass of choice.
So, sign up, show up, get comfortable and create! Everything you need is included to create two beautiful art pieces that make fabulous additions to your home or beautiful gifts. We do ask that you wear closed-toed shoes.
Finished panels will be kiln fired and ready for pick-up one week after the class.
