Need a piece around 1 inch thick? This stainless dam from Big Glass Molds will hold it. This dam will help you make an 8 inch diameter kiln fused glass up to 1 inch thick. These are made in the USA and just need some boron nitride spray before firing.

This dam is large enough to include fiber paper below and inside while making an 8 inch diameter pattern bar or raked piece.
This stand is constructed with 1/8 inch thick, 1 inch tall stainless steel for a sizable piece.
