Use Instructions: This scalloped bowl mold should be coated with water based shelf primer (for example
Primo Shelf Primer 5Lb
) or a boron nitride spray (either
ZYP Boron Nitride Aersol Lubricoat 13Oz.
or
MO-RE Spray′n Fuse - 8 oz.
) before fusing. In our kilns, we use the following steps to achieve good rings (your kiln may vary, but this is a good starting point).
250 F/hr to 1000F hold for 10 minutes
250 F/Hr to 1195F hold for 100 minutes
250 F/Hr to 1220F hold for 20 minutes
9999 F/Hr to 970F hold for 60 minutes
80 F/Hr to 800F hold for 0 minutes (no hold needed)
Allow to cool naturally to 200F or less and remove glass from mold when you can handle it.
